From Associate to CEO: Putnam, an Inizio Advisory Company, Names Matthew Riordan as CEO

March 17, 2024 – Putnam, a leading scientific and strategic consulting firm within Inizio Advisory, proudly announces Matt Riordan as its new Chief Executive Officer. Matt succeeds Remco op den Kelder, who is transitioning to the Global President of Inizio Advisory after more than a decade of leadership at Putnam.

Matt’s career at Putnam spans more than 20 years, beginning as an Associate Consultant and progressing through leadership roles, including Partner, Commercial Practice Lead, and most recently, Chief Operating Officer.  His rise within Putnam reflects both his deep commitment to the firm and Putnam’s culture of developing internal talent. With expertise in portfolio analytics, market development efforts, go-to-market strategy, and value, pricing and access strategy, Matt has played a pivotal role in guiding life sciences companies in developing, launching, and successfully marketing some of the most innovative medicines of the last two decades.

A recognized thought leader, Matt has been featured as a lecturer at Harvard, MIT, and the Broad Institute, sharing insights on marketing strategy and the evolving healthcare landscape. He has extensive experience across therapeutic areas, including hematology/oncology, immunology, rare diseases, cardiovascular, CNS, and infectious disease markets.
