Rare respiratory claims data analysis

The challenge

• A top biopharma client wanted to understand diagnosis and treatment patterns for a rare respiratory disease only recently associated as a sequela of a lifestyle risk factor

Our solution

• Through primary and secondary market research, and claims analytics, we geographically mapped overlapping risk factor exposure with disease incidence. We built visualization tools for the client to leverage for both HCP medical education and further evidence generation

The results

• Epidemiologic findings from our visualization tools were submitted and accepted for presentation at a leading medical conference, and will be further leveraged by the client’s Medical Affairs team for disease state education and further evidence generation through validation studies with prioritized centers of excellence and KOLs. We additionally equipped the client with fit-for-purpose impact metrics and KPIs to track effectiveness of disseminating this important risk factor association
